Posting Policy
This posting policy covers the email discussion forums and Facebook group provided by the Association for Sound Design and Production to it's members
General guidelines
Relevance
These forums are for the discussion of sound design, and the industry surrounding it. If your post doesn't relate directly to this we ask you to use private email or another form of communication. The success of a discussion forum depends on the relevance of the material on it.
Be aware
Your email will be sent to virtually every member of the ASDP. Particularly bear this in mind when replying to a topic. You may prefer to reply directly to someone rather than the whole membership.
Commercial posts
We invite you to use the ASDP general mailing list to engage with our members about your products. So as to avoid our list appearing to our members as spam we ask you to avoid posting press releases, but instead to engage with our members on a personal level. We hope this means they will also feel more inclined to reply and engage with you about your products, which can only be a good thing.
Jobs and classified ad's
Feel free to post job adverts and classified ad's.
Quoting other posts
When replying to a post, please delete as much of the original email as possible. We want to avoid emails composed of a three word reply followed by 100 lines of the original email.
Be courteous
We discourage the use of offensive language and abusive behaviour, and ask our members to treat the email lists as a professional forum.
